Two Vancouver apartment complexes sold for $59M

Two Vancouver apartment complexes have been sold for $59 million to a Canada-based real estate investment trust.

The seller — Bill Maitland, owner of Vancouver-based PROM — was also the developer and builder of the two apartment complexes, Fountain Village Apartments and Promenade Apartments, according to Ryan Kidwell, senior vice president of The Mogharebi Group, the broker for the sale.

Vancouver woman accused of stealing $75,000 from employer

A Vancouver woman accused of stealing $75,000 from a local contractor while working as the business’s bookkeeper appeared Thursday in Clark County Superior Court on suspicion of first-degree theft.

Lehia Diane Polzen, 64, was released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, court records show.

Plans to redevelop Vancouver riverfront include space for Who Song & Larry’s

New plans for a four-building, mixed-use development on the Columbia River just east of the Interstate 5 Bridge may yet include space for the venerable Who Song & Larry’s Restaurant and Cantina.

Kirkland Development recently submitted the plans for the 2.4-acre property to the city of Vancouver following its purchase in September for about $14.55 million, according to county property records.

Clark County Public Health proposes new fees for services

Beginning in January, Clark County residents will likely find new fees in place for Public Health environmental services such as inspections and site reviews for new wells, septic systems or pools.

On Wednesday, Public Health will present a list of nearly 125 proposed fee changes to the Board of Health for approval.
