Cavaliers’ Kevin Love enters NBA’s health and safety protocols: Sources – The Athletic

Cavaliers forward Kevin Love entered the league’s health and safety protocols on Monday and is out for Cleveland’s Monday night game against Charlotte, the team announced. Love is expected to miss several games, sources told The Athletic.

Love came off the bench in Cleveland’s first seven games, averaging 9.9 points and 7.3 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per game. The 33-year-old was limited to 25 games a year ago due to injury.

Love is eighth on the team in minutes this season. Prior to the 2021-22 campaign, he had come off the bench just once in the last 11 seasons.

Cleveland dropped to 3-4 with a loss at the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.
